Most people slow down at 60. Louise started a company.

Super Bee began in 2018 when Louise kept hearing the same complaint from friends and small business owners:

"I don't know which courier to use. I can't find anyone trustworthy to handle my valuable parcels. And the rates make no sense."

The problem stuck with her. Then, while travelling abroad, she saw what good courier service actually looks like — efficient, personal, honest networks where one person walks you through every option, packs your parcel themselves, and hands you a tracking number you can trust.

The answer was obvious: build a one-stop service that explains the options honestly, packs each parcel properly, and treats every shipment like it's our own.

So at an age when her peers were retiring from theirs, Louise opened her first ever business — a small office on Jalan Raja Chulan, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur's Golden Triangle. No prior experience. Plenty of people telling her it was too late. She started anyway.

What she didn't have in industry experience, she made up for with heart. Every customer who walked in was treated like the most important one of the day. Every parcel got her full attention. Every problem got solved before they left. It's that sincerity and dedication — more than any strategy — that turned a small first-time business into what Super Bee is today.

Eight years on, Super Bee ships hundreds of parcels a month — from solo Etsy sellers and online shop owners, to corporate accounts, to mothers posting handsewn quilts to daughters in the United States, to artists sending their artwork to friends overseas. Louise is still here, usually somewhere in the middle of it.

How do I send a parcel with Super Bee?

Three options:

Which countries do you ship to?

Through our authorised partners — SF Express, FedEx, UPS, Aramex, City-Link and KEX Express — we can deliver to almost any country where international courier services operate.

Popular destinations from Malaysia include China, Singapore, USA, UK, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Indonesia and the Middle East. Some remote regions may have longer transit times — message us and we'll confirm before you commit.

How long does international shipping take?

It depends on destination and carrier:

  • Express (SF Express / FedEx / UPS): 2–5 working days for most major cities
  • Standard (Aramex / City-Link / KEX): 5–10 working days depending on destination
  • Remote or rural destinations: add 2–5 working days for last-mile delivery

We'll always tell you the estimated transit time before you confirm. Customs delays can sometimes add 1–3 days — those are outside any carrier's control.

How much does it cost?

Rates vary by destination, weight, dimensions, and the carrier that suits your parcel best. We compare options across all our authorised partners and recommend what works for your shipment.

What can I NOT ship internationally?

Most carriers prohibit shipping the following — and customs may seize them at the destination:

  • Cash, cheques, credit cards
  • Firearms, ammunition, weapons of any kind
  • Illegal substances, narcotics, drugs
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, batteries (loose lithium)
  • Perishable food, raw meat, fresh fruit/vegetables
  • Live animals, plants, seeds (without permits)
  • Counterfeit goods or items that infringe trademarks
  • Pornographic material, obscene content

Each destination country also has its own restricted-items list. If in doubt, ask us first — we'll check before you send the parcel to us.

Do you really pack for free?

Yes. When you ship with us, professional packing is included at no extra charge — proper boxes, padding, sealing, fragile labelling where needed. We've shipped everything from handsewn quilts to fragile artwork, so we know how to pack it right.

The free packing is only for parcels we'll ship out for you — we don't offer standalone packing as a paid service.

How do I track my parcel?

Once we ship, you'll receive a real-time tracking number (also called an airway bill / AWB). You can track on the carrier's official website or app:

  • FedEx: fedex.com/track
  • UPS: ups.com
  • Aramex: aramex.com

Tracking updates appear within 24 hours of pickup. Drop us a message if you ever can't see updates — we'll chase it with the carrier for you.

What about customs and import duties?

Customs and import duties are charged by the destination country, not by us or the carrier. The amount depends on the declared value of your parcel and the local rules.

We'll help you fill in the customs declaration properly so your parcel clears smoothly. For high-value items (electronics, branded goods), expect the receiver to pay duties on arrival. For gifts and personal items under each country's de minimis threshold, duties are usually waived.

If you're not sure, ask us before you ship — after years of handling international parcels, we know what most countries expect.

Can I cancel or change my shipment after it's been sent?

Once a parcel has been collected by the carrier and is in transit, it's difficult (and sometimes impossible) to change the destination or recall it. Always double-check the recipient details before we hand the parcel over.

If you spot an error within the first few hours after pickup, message us immediately — we'll do everything we can with the carrier on your behalf. There may be additional fees from the carrier for any successful change.

What if my parcel is lost or damaged?

Every shipment travels under the carrier's official terms. If something goes wrong, we'll personally chase the carrier on your behalf — that's part of the service.

For high-value items, we strongly recommend declaring the full value and following the carrier's packing guidelines. Drop by, message, or call us before you ship if your parcel contains anything fragile, valuable or irreplaceable — we'll advise on the safest way to send it.
